Comments about the NMH 1958 Yearbook
[Though written to Claire and Don, these comments are for everyone on the yearbook committee who worked so hard and long. We thank you all. And we especially thank John and Mike Quenell who did the design, layout and production of the whole book. The reason we have this kind of yearbook is that the two of them donated their professional services, pouring themselves into the project for months. We also thank Tom Chase for his extraordinary scanning and other help.]
THE YEARBOOK IS FABULOUS !

When it arrived yesterday I eagerly scanned it and had trouble putting it down.

I received my yearbook - and all I can say is" Wow!" I haven't gotten much done around here since it arrived!
It was rainy and windy - I put a log on the fire and curled up on my chaise longue- and just enjoyed the wonderful news and reminiscences! And the pictures....

also- it makes me wonder why people did not submit- what do you think reasons were? (they can't write? they didn't like mt. hermon? they don't have high self esteem?)

i'm going to try to stich together a humorous poem that will riff on the people that are coming - as i read their bios - PRICELESS!

My yearbook arrived today, just as my planning luncheon for the local faculty-spouse club was drawing to a close...Couldn't wait to open it...wanted to share it with a lovely lady who had been a student of Barbara Clough at George School...She thought Miss Clough was too strict even then!!!
Have gotten dishes in the dishwasher, linens sitting in the dryer...have read the first part of the alphabet, and some special addendums...with exception of a few pages of the listings in the back, that look like were not cut quite right...It's perfect!!!!

The yearbook is just fantastic! I never dreamed it would be as rich and wonderful experience reading it and recalling our lives at Northfield and the people we loved and the program and all of it. I'm so happy to have it. Thank you and of course thank Claire and all who worked on it. I spent hours today reading it, it just arrived. So wonderful, really!
